SubOne Design

Welcome. This is a temporary portfolio until I get some time to work on the design a little bit. I don't have my main dev laptop right now, so I don't have any of my older stuff, but I'll be getting it shipped back to me soon I hope. Then I can post more. Below is a list of some of the things I've been working on more recently. After checking out each one use your back button to come back to this page. Enjoy!

TextReplace

TextReplace is a simple string replacement addon for World of Warcraft.

Enter `/textreplace x y` or `/replace x y` where `x` is what you want replaced and `y` is what you want it replaced with. For example `/replace teh the` will replace `teh` with `the` as you type. Useful for misspellings and for shorthand. Another example is `/replace ADVERT New WoW addon! TextReplace: http://www.subonedesign.com/wowtr/`. The first parameter currently must be a text string (no special characters like `/` (slash)) and the second parameter takes everything after that.

SignDesign

This is a vector image editor created in flash that I am currently custom designing for a client. What works: Rectangle Tool, Ellipse Tool, Selection Tool (partially), New Document, Copy, Cut, Paste, Changing Colors, Statusbar, Tooltips. Most of the ground work is laid now so progress should ramp up fairly quickly. This application will be launched as a design tool for customers to create custom signs and banners on the client's site.

NDK Registration System

This is a bunch of screenshots of a registration system a friend and I did recently for the Nan Desu Kan Anime Convention website. I chose to provide screenshots because they don't appear to be using the system yet and you wouldn't be able to see the admin section without the proper credentials. The project did not require the layout to work in IE, so I didn't bother. I did 100% of the layout and graphics (except for the Silk icons by famfamfam) which includes HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I did about 50% of the PHP scripting.

Todo

This is just a little application I threw together for a list of todo items. The majority of the challenge here was getting all the elements to line up correctly with CSS. Text boxes in tables can sometimes be quite the hassle. It's on hold for now, but eventually I may add some JavaScript and AJAX to it and get the layout working in IE. It's also an example of the Debug class I use in all my projects.

RPG Sheet Repository

A quick layout I did for a friend. All of the RPG stuff pretty much goes to the same guy. This one is simple yet sexy.

OVA Character Sheet

This is a character sheet for a table top RPG game called OVA. I created it as an example for a friend. I have not looked at it in IE. It is not functional in respect to saving the data that is input since the request was only for layout to match another game's character sheet layout.

World Editor

Something I put together for a friend of mine who was having some issues with layout and JavaScript. It is a map editor for table top RPG games. It has only just been started and the only functionality at the moment is movable/resizable windows that can be toggled on and off and some basic layout. I have not looked at it in IE yet and it was never my intention to continue this project any further, but who knows what the future holds.

Flash Experiment

A simple little flash toy I made for someone on IRC as an example. Hover the movie to create a trail. Notice that each "pixel" fades in when you hover it and fades out from the last shade it was before you left it, rather then jumping to full opacity before the fade starts.

Silk Icons

I am constantly using the Silk icon set from famfamfam.com, but sometimes I need some icons that just aren't included in the package. Of course, I want my icons to stay consistant, so I created some of my own silky icons to go along with the set.
